$300M+ Media Buyer & Founder of Mediabuying.ai

The $4.50/Hour Wake-Up Call

Mac Magyaros grew up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a small town about 30 minutes east of Cleveland where everyone knows your name and your business.

He was supposed to follow the script. Go to college. Get a degree. Land a "safe" job.

That script went out the window in 2018.

Two months into his first year at Miami University (Ohio), Magyaros got arrested for underage drinking. The university suspended him.

Suddenly he was back home, washing cars for $4.50 an hour plus tips. Watching his friends post about parties while he shoveled snow and scrubbed wheels in 40°F (~4°C) weather.

Most people would call it "the moment everything went wrong."

Magyaros calls it the moment he stopped pretending the traditional path was guaranteed.

The system wasn't going to save him. Nobody was coming. If he wanted out, he had to figure it out himself.

So he started hunting for a skill that couldn't be taken from him, no matter what happened to the economy or his circumstances.

The Discovery

For Christmas that year, Magyaros asked his parents for a ticket to a business conference he saw through an ad.

At the conference, he met a 14-year-old kid making six figures helping restaurants run social media ads.

At first, Magyaros was pissed. A 14-year-old making more than his parents while he's washing cars for $4.50 an hour?

But then it clicked: "If he can do it, so can I."

That's when Magyaros discovered media buying.

The First Client

With no degree and no job experience outside washing cars and cleaning dishes, Magyaros started sending Facebook messages and cold emails to local businesses offering to run their ads.

A chiropractor in Ohio gave him a shot. Wrote him a check for $1,000 to manage his advertising for a month.

First month: $30,000 in revenue for the chiropractor.

Then came an e-commerce brand paying $1,500/month. Between the two, he was making double what the car wash paid.

Magyaros quit the car wash, went back to school, and got sober. He spent the next three years doing nothing but studying paid advertising while his classmates studied for exams.

Going Underground

While finishing his degree at Miami, Magyaros became obsessed with finding the best media buyers in the world.

Not the ones with millions of followers. The invisible ones. Shadow operators managing millions of dollars a day in ad spend for billion-dollar brands most people have never heard of.

He found them. Studied under them. Lived with them. Learned how the game actually works, completely different from anything he'd found in courses or trainings.

He took every role he could get: freelancing, agency work, web design, email marketing, sales, consulting. Anything to sharpen the blade.

Seeing Inside the Machine

After graduating, Magyaros landed a position as a media buyer for Grant Cardone Enterprises.

Working for Cardone opened his eyes to the power of online advertising at scale. The psychology of persuasion. Building a global brand. The way words on a page could turn strangers into customers.

Within three months, Magyaros scaled an underperforming offer from $1,000/day in ad spend to $75,000/day.

He got hooked on big-budget media buying. Direct response campaigns where one mistake can cost tens of millions of dollars.

The Numbers

Since 2018, Magyaros has managed over $75 million in digital advertising spend, generating more than $300 million in trackable revenue for his clients.

His biggest campaigns include:

  • Scaling to $600,000/day in ad spend
  • Profitably spending $1 million within a 7-day window
  • Spending over $150,000 in a single hour in one ad account

He's run paid media for some of the largest names in the information marketing industry.

Media Buying Consultancy

After Cardone, Magyaros founded InfoMarketing, a media buying firm exclusively for information publishing brands spending at least $1,000/day in ad spend.

The firm has generated $86.5 million+ in client revenue in the past 24 months alone, with over 2.6 million leads generated across Meta and Google ad platforms.

InfoMarketing operates as a 7-figure per year consultancy with a deliberately small client roster. Magyaros and his partner take personal responsibility for every account.

Today, they work closely with a select group of 7, 8, and 9-figure information and personal brands.

Founding Mediabuying.ai

Magyaros noticed a problem: the media buying game had fundamentally changed, but nobody was teaching the new rules.

Meta's AI targeting had gotten so sophisticated that the barrier to entry dropped dramatically. The complicated manual tactics from 2018 were obsolete. But the products teaching media buying were still built on those old methods.

In 2024, Magyaros launched his flagship training product, Media Buyer Quickstart, to fix this. It quickly grew to over 1,000 members around the world.

Wins started rolling in from members with completely different backgrounds:

  • A massage therapist landing a $2,000/month client
  • A used car salesman picking up his first client within weeks of joining
  • A corporate employee at Nielsen IQ who quit his 9-to-5 after hitting $5,000/month

In 2025, Magyaros acquired the Mediabuying.ai domain and rebranded.

The mission: help 1,000,000 people build $5,000+/month income streams through media buying.

Without drowning them in complexity or information overload.
